Thailand: A Sunny Adventure Awaits!
The weather has been absolutely gorgeous lately with the sun shining bright ☀️, so without hesitation, we jumped in the car and drove two hours from Antwerp to Amsterdam 🚗 to catch the breathtaking tulip season in full bloom 🌷!
April is the time for the tulip festival in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 – and it's practically the only time of year to see this iconic flower at its absolute best. You have a couple of options if you want to visit:
- Keukenhof Gardens – the largest flower garden in Europe 🌼, with countless vibrant blooms.
- Or, like us, you can visit The Tulip Experience – a super cute "tulip museum" 🏡 that's also a real working farm.
We chose The Tulip Experience, and we were so happy with our choice! It's extremely kid-friendly 👶👧👦, with plenty of space, interactive activities, and a relaxed atmosphere that my children really enjoyed.
There's also a cozy little cafe ☕🥪 on the grounds – don't miss out on the specialty: tulip soup! 🥣 It's a unique culinary experience. If you try it, please share your thoughts with me!
What I loved most is that everyone gets 5 tulip bulbs and the flowers 🌷🧅 to take home – you can totally replant them and wait for them to bloom next season at home.
After your visit, you can cycle 🚲, walk 🚶 or drive 🚙 to the nearby village to admire the colorful tulip fields. We missed out on this part, but just seeing them from afar was already incredibly stunning!
