Plitvice: Where Emerald Dreams Come Alive
My journey today takes me to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and an absolute must-see when exploring the Balkans.
Picture this: 16 stunning lakes, each connected by a cascade of cascading waterfalls, nestled amongst ancient trees and winding wooden pathways. The water is so crystal clear you can see schools of fish swimming beneath. The sounds of nature here are unfiltered—just breathe, and feel the pure serenity.
I chose the longer route to get a panoramic view, following the wooden steps down to the base of the grand waterfalls. It felt like stepping into another world, one filled with only shades of green, the sound of water, and a peacefulness that permeates everything.
This destination makes me love my job as a European tour guide even more—each day is a new adventure, each place with its own story to tell. If you'd like to join me on similar journeys, don't hesitate to reach out.
Ps: A 9-seater vehicle, serving as my mobile office, allows me to easily access unique locations and savor local dishes.
