Impressionist House of Claude Monet, Argenteuil
This is the house where Monet lived for seven years.
It's incredibly easy to get there. Take the J line from Gare Saint-Lazare and it's just one stop. You can even spot Monet's house from the train station!
And the restaurant I was told about? It was a complete hit!
Le Bistro Picolo
Amazingly, it's run by two Japanese chefs and opened just three months ago.
They were so welcoming. We were offered a complimentary glass of wine to start and even received a limoncello while we waited for the bill. The prices are also really great, not Parisian prices. A two-course menu is only 19€, and a three-course one is 23€.
I genuinely recommend this place.
