Birthday Staycation at InterContinental Hotel, KL
(1/6 - 2/6/2025)
A spontaneous birthday treat for my husband! After stumbling upon a promotion by Watie Majid, I signed up as an Indulge Member. I quickly secured complimentary perks for a weekend getaway. Since it was last minute, the classic rooms were already taken. But a big shoutout to Mr. Prat; he was exceptionally attentive. Even though there was a small hiccup in the beginning, the Indulge team handled it with care, which was a relief 🫶🏼.
Check-In (10/10)
Smooth and swift! I was pleasantly surprised that our room was ready by around 1:30 pm. The staff promptly delivered our luggage, and we headed straight for the lunch buffet.
Lunch at Serena Brasserie (10/10)
The lunch buffet was delicious with a wide variety of dishes. Each one was a treat, especially the Garlic Beef Enchiladas! I even took a picture because the name was a bit tricky to remember. I'm guessing the ala carte menu would be even better. The desserts were lovely and not overly sweet.
Dinner at Tao Chinese Cuisine (9/10)
I had a reservation, but our name wasn't on the list. However, the staff kindly accommodated us, so it wasn't an issue. The food was delicious and portions were generous; we couldn't finish everything. I was a little disappointed that the surprise cake wasn't arranged as planned, even though it was requested. Cash vouchers were also temporarily unavailable, but thankfully, we could still use the 25% member discount.
Room (10/10)
The room was spacious, and it had one of the biggest beds I've seen in KL. It easily fits two adults and two kids. The kids absolutely loved the bathtub!
Staff (♾️/10)
The staff members were all friendly and wonderful. They are the real stars of the hotel.
If only there was a kids' room, I'd happily return and use all the vouchers. There are over 50 vouchers available, making it a truly exciting experience! 🤣
