Inside the "Super" 35 Trillion VND Airport - The Largest in Vietnam 🌏✈️
Construction Progress
After nearly 2 years of construction, the Long Thanh passenger terminal (Dong Nai) is approximately 80% complete in terms of rough construction.
The central terminal has reached 96% rough construction, with the roof completed and waterproofed.
The three wings of the terminal are over 93% complete, with the steel frame and roof finished.
Impressive Scale & Design
Total investment of 35 trillion VND (package 5.10, component project 3, Vietur consortium).
The central roof weighs over 5,300 tons of steel, assembled at 256 connection points according to European standards.
Curved roof vaults covering nearly 20,000 m², console extends to 41 m – one of the largest in the history of global aviation terminals.
The entire roof steel structure is synchronously raised using 56 hydraulic jacks and a computer-based load monitoring system.
Technology & Amenities
100% completion of the first roof layer (decking + skylight) ensures watertightness for mechanical and electrical installation.
Skylights made of special glass help maximize the use of natural light.
Lower floors: installation of fire protection, air conditioning, lighting, elevators – escalators.
Deployment of a modern automated baggage handling system (BHS).
Connectivity & Capacity
32 jet bridges (40 near parking positions) for Code C, E, F aircraft.
Phase 1 has an investment of approximately 5 billion USD, a total area of 5,364 ha, with a capacity to serve 100 million passengers per year upon completion.
Completion Plan
31/12/2025: basically completing the construction phase.
After that: interlocking, static installation, single-action – interlocking testing for 6 months before official operation.
