The Manor KLCC: A Staycation Experience (7-8/10/25)
My recent staycation took me to a relatively new residence along Persiaran Stonor, a stone's throw from Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). I chose this place for its beautiful view, overlooking the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. I booked a one-bedroom apartment for RM252.48 through Booking.com, including taxes and service charges, but without breakfast.
This residence is managed by Host Crown Suites. I arrived at 2:40 PM and went straight to the lobby on the ground floor. The lobby was spacious but quite bare, with only a counter and a few sofas. I waited for a Crown Suites staff member, who arrived about 10 minutes later. I received a brief explanation and a lift access card. The residence has three lift sections, each with two lifts. My unit was located in Lobby 1 on the 25th floor.
Access to the apartment was via passkey, not a keycard. I was given a two-bedroom apartment instead of the one-bedroom I booked. This two-bedroom apartment was very spacious, spanning 1,022 square feet. Upon entering, the kitchen was on the right. It featured an electric stove, cooking utensils, and two sinks. There was also an electric oven and a large refrigerator. A door at the left end of the kitchen led to the utility area, which housed a washing machine.
In the middle of the apartment was a moderately sized dining table. It was set with four sets of plates, bowls, spoons, and forks. There were also four bottles of drinking water and Nescafe 3-in-1 sachets. Beside the dining table was a long table that could serve as a work desk. At the end leading to the balcony, there was a large sofa and a coffee table. A TV stand was in front of the sofa, and the host provided a 40-inch Smart TV. The balcony was quite spacious, offering a stunning view of the Naza Tower and Felda Tower. The Petronas Twin Towers were visible slightly to the left.
The second bedroom was to the left of the entrance and was smaller than the master bedroom. It had a king-size bed, a small wardrobe to the left of the bed, a work desk, and a chair at the left corner of the bed. The door to the bathroom was located to the right of the bed. This second bathroom was also accessible from the living room, with its sliding door opposite the dining table. This bathroom was spacious, with a sink, toilet, and shower area.
The master bedroom was behind the sofa and was very spacious. It only contained a king-size bed and a small table on the right. The wardrobe was on the left and was large, with space for hanging clothes, an iron, and an ironing board. The bathroom was to the left of the bed and was larger than the second bathroom. It had a sink, toilet, and shower area. Both bathrooms were equipped with a hose.
The residence has a rooftop swimming pool on the 46th floor. The pool is large, but the landscape is somewhat empty. There is also a gymnasium and sauna. All facilities are open from 8 AM to 10 PM. The pool overlooks another residence, Eaton, which also has a beautiful infinity pool overlooking KLCC, though at a higher price.
Host Crown Suites provided free, fast wifi, with speeds reaching 206 Mbps for downloads and 228 Mbps for uploads. Telco services were relatively slow, with CelcomDigi at only 182 Mbps and Tune Talk at 40 Mbps. The host only provided a Smart TV without free TV channels. The water pressure in the showers was strong. The host provided 4 sets of toothbrushes and bath towels. For check-out, I only needed to place the lift access card in the drawer inside the room.
If you're looking for a relatively affordable apartment in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, this residence is a good option. Compared to nearby residences, it's among the cheaper choices. The residence is located next to Eaton Residence and a few meters from the Marriot Executive Apartment and Imperial Lexis. For dining, guests can visit I'dahlia Corner, located just 100 meters away. The residence is 1.1 km from Pavilion and 1.3 km from KLCC. For those using public transport, it is only 300 meters from the Conlay MRT station (Putrajaya line).
