Sunway Hotel Velocity: A Delightful Stay
My stay at Sunway Hotel Velocity took place from May 31st to June 1st, 2025. Here's a glimpse of my experience.
The Details
I booked a Deluxe room, which was a lovely upgrade from the Superior category thanks to my GHA Discovery Platinum status. I snagged a great deal with a Sunway Mega deals voucher, bringing the price down to RM250. The booking was made directly via email with the hotel.
Smooth Check-In
The check-in process was quite smooth. While the receptionist was handling the initial steps, after a quick consult with a colleague, the Assistant Front Office Manager, Faz, warmly greeted me. She presented me with a small gift from the Sales & Marketing team and the room key. A truly welcoming touch!
GHA Discovery Perks
Sunway Hotels joined the GHA Discovery program in May 2025. A great introductory promotion offered double D$ for every booking.
The Room
The room was bright and airy, decorated with cheerful colors. All the necessary amenities were present, and I even received a welcome amenity as a GHA Discovery Platinum member - chocolates and salted egg chips. I was pleasantly surprised to find sachets of milk tea and Ipoh white coffee too!
Breakfast Experience
Breakfast was served at Kaffeneiate on the 5th floor, from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. If not included in your package, it's priced at RM40 per person. The selection was impressive, including nasi lemak with tender and delicious chicken rendang, spaghetti, fried rice, a noodle station, porridge, various types of pao and dim sum, pastries like raisin rolls, peach danishes, and muffins, as well as fresh fruits, tea, coffee, chilled juices, and cold cuts.
