VinFast Adjusts Rescue Service for Battery Depletion Cases
Starting June 6, 2025, VinFast will transition to Roadside Assistance (RSA) via towing for vehicles experiencing battery depletion. This replaces the Mobile Charging service previously offered.
The cost of the RSA service will be covered by VinFast and applies to all VinFast electric vehicles owned by individual customers. This policy does not extend to electric vehicles owned by GSM and other transportation partners.
When a customer's vehicle runs out of battery charge during a trip, the RSA service will be dispatched to tow the vehicle to the nearest charging station or the customer's residence, whichever is closer.
The Mobile Charging service, an emergency support service utilizing mobile charging vehicles, was launched by VinFast in 2022. It served as an urgent solution to enhance user experience during the initial adoption phase of electric vehicles. This adjustment aims to optimize operational efficiency and ensure rapid, safe customer support in emergency situations.
