Swiss-Garden Hotel and Residences, Genting Highland: My Staycation Experience
Here's a look at my recent stay at Swiss-Garden Hotel and Residences in Genting Highland. I checked in on May 30th, 2025, for a delightful 3-day, 2-night getaway and checked out on June 1st.
My Room: Deluxe Queen Room
I booked a Deluxe Queen Room, a spacious 34m² haven. The cost was RM496.60, which is about RM248.30 per night. This price included breakfast for two and a RM6.00 Pahang state tax. I made my reservation via Trip.com.
Parking: Smooth and Simple
The parking experience gets a well-deserved four stars. Follow the signs to the hotel's parking, which is located at the back. There's plenty of space to maneuver your car, so you don't need to worry about scratches. Here's a helpful tip: park on Level 3 to avoid the elevator trip to the lobby.
Parking is free, but you'll need to validate your Touch n Go card at the hotel lobby each time you exit.
Check-in: Easy and Welcoming
Check-in earned four stars. The hotel comprises two main blocks: the hotel block and the residential block. After parking, take the elevator to Level 3, then walk through a corridor to reach the hotel block.
The lobby isn't huge, but it's beautifully decorated. The check-in process was quick and effortless, and they provided two access cards. They also have a reading corner and some comfortable seating in the lobby.
The Room: Spacious and Comfortable
The room gets a perfect five-star rating! It felt incredibly spacious for the price. The room featured one queen-size bed, excellent air conditioning, and clear TV channels. While there wasn't a balcony, it was well-equipped with an electric kettle, coffee, an iron, an ironing board, and a safety box.
Bathroom: Functional and Clean
The bathroom earned a solid four stars. It was spacious and included a shower (no bathtub). Basic toiletries were provided, and the cleanliness was impressive. I appreciated that the floor wasn't slippery.
Breakfast: A Delicious Start to the Day
The breakfast experience earned a five-star rating! There was a wide variety of food options, as you can see in the pictures. The dining area was spacious. If you arrive early, try to grab a seat by the window for a pleasant view of the gardens.
Pool: A Must-Try Experience
The pool area is a definite highlight, earning five stars! It's located on Level 41 in the residential block. To get there, you exit the lobby and take a corridor towards the residential block's elevator. Press level 40 and then take the stairs to Level 41. Guards are present to ensure guests are appropriately dressed for swimming.
The heated pool is a must-try; the water is warm and inviting. There's also a unique triangular building, the Ceremonial Alcove, which can be used for small gatherings. The landscape is beautiful and ideal for photos.
Check-out: Hassle-Free
Check-out was incredibly easy, earning a perfect five stars. I simply handed in my access cards to the receptionist and provided my car number for parking validation.
Overall: Highly Recommended
Overall, this stay gets five stars! It's a great location for a short staycation, offering a comfortable environment that isn't too cold, as it's located at the foot of Genting Highland.
It's conveniently close to Kuala Lumpur, just over an hour away. The hotel is also near Genting Highlands Premium Outlets (GHPO) and the Sky Awana Genting cable car station (about 10-15 minutes away).
There are restaurants and shops nearby for your convenience. I'm already looking forward to returning for another staycation!
