Bonjour Paris Lovers!
Hello to all the Paris enthusiasts! ✨
On Monday, June 23rd, at 1:30 PM, I indulged in the highly anticipated Louis Vuitton cake. The location was on the right bank, along the Seine, opposite La Samaritaine. To orient yourself, picture the Louvre Museum, then La Samaritaine, and finally Louis Vuitton from west to east.
The cafe opens at 11 AM. Reservations are only accepted for lunch (which also includes cake). Since we were just there for cake, we couldn't reserve. We prepared ourselves for a wait, but luck was on our side! It wasn't crowded yesterday, and we were seated right away, at a table by the window with a fantastic view of the Seine. What a treat!
As expected from Louis Vuitton, the staff was friendly, efficient, stylish, and, dare I say, stunning! The service was impeccable.
The cake and champagne are definitely not cheap, but I believe the taste and ambiance are worth the price. I was extremely satisfied.
Apparently, there's usually a huge queue, so if your time is limited, it's probably best to reserve lunch (which includes the cake option). We were prepared to wait at least an hour, and it was a pleasant surprise to be seated immediately. Perhaps it was because it was a weekday? (Waiting is made more enjoyable by browsing the shops nearby.)
We were told the cafe use is limited to 40 minutes, but we weren't rushed to leave, which was great. The restrooms were also clean. They are free to use, of course.
After leaving Louis Vuitton, we spent three hours chatting over a 2.7€ coffee at the opulent Starbucks east of the Opera. We also used the restroom. Be aware that the Starbucks restrooms lacked paper towels, so it's a good idea to bring tissues with you just in case. 😊
My Apologies
Yesterday, I posted links to two personal posts, "Walking in Paris" and "Mont Saint-Michel." Unfortunately, they were removed, possibly due to rule violations. My apologies to those who commented. I couldn't respond or thank you all, and I'm truly sorry for that. I also apologize for any inconvenience caused to the group. I'll be more careful with my future posts. Thank you for your understanding. 🙏💦💦💦
