Sydney 4N3Đ Trip - Sharing Some Travel Preparation Tips! 🏖️

I just got back from a 4-day, 3-night trip to Sydney during the recent holiday, so I want to share some of the things I prepared for the trip. Oh, and I went with a friend, so it was the two of us!

✨ Some Experiences:

Booking flights: We booked our tickets a month in advance to get a better price and to choose our seats (for an extra fee). We flew with Virgin Australia – a fairly well-known domestic airline in Australia. Thankfully, both flights went smoothly, without any delays, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful!

Booking Airbnb: We chose a lovely little apartment, a 10-minute drive from Sydney CBD and a 10-minute walk from the train station. You should check out accommodations about a month beforehand and don't hesitate to message the host with any questions. If you like a place, just book it!

Getting to the airport: If you book an Uber, remember to set the address to the Domestic Terminal. For example, if you're flying with Virgin Australia, you'll go to Terminal 3 (T3). Or, if you take the SkyBus from Southern Cross Station, remember to buy your ticket in advance. (We took the SkyBus because it was a bit cheaper than Uber, it just took a little longer 😂).

Budget: The total cost for two people for 4 days and 3 nights was around 1500 AUD, which included everything from A to Z. It wasn't super cheap, but for a comfortable trip, I thought it was reasonable!

Luggage: I only brought carry-on luggage because it was a short trip. Keep in mind that it wasn't too hot or too cold in Sydney when we went, but it did rain, so make sure to check the weather carefully to pack accordingly.

Work deadlines: I sincerely advise that before a long trip, you should finish or at least complete 80% of your work/deadlines. Don't bring your laptop with the hope of working during your trip – because you definitely won't be able to 🤣.

Informing loved ones: Before you go, remember to let your family and friends know you'll be away for a few days. So your parents won't worry, and your friends will know you'll be temporarily absent from Melbourne.

Traveling with a friend: Very important! Before we went, we had a serious conversation about our habits, preferences, and budget... For example, my friend doesn't like getting into bed before changing clothes, while I don't like eating at places that are too expensive. Agreeing beforehand makes the trip more enjoyable, and you'll still be friends afterwards! 😄

These are a few small tips I learned from my recent trip to Sydney.

If you have any other cool tips, please share them with me! ❤️
