Life in Hualien Taiwan: Mountains, Ocean, and Yoga
Hualien, Taiwan, holds a special place in my heart. I spent four years of my university life there, and it quickly became my favorite spot. I dream of living there again someday. Hualien, in my opinion, has the most stunning natural beauty Taiwan has to offer. I cherish living close to nature, waking up to birdsong and breathtaking sunrises every single day. Let me share some must-visit natural spots in this amazing place.
Nature's Embrace
-
Baibao River: Here, you can swim, explore through river tracing, or even go snorkeling! Imagine the refreshing cool water.
-
Wanrong Hot Springs: The unique environment gives the water a distinctive turquoise hue. It's perfect for a relaxing soak.
-
Baiyang Trail: This trail is a great choice for summer because it leads you through a cave and past a refreshing waterfall.
-
Zhuilu Old Road: A scenic hike, and one of the most beautiful among the mountains of Hualien, and it's relatively easy!
-
Taroko National Park: Prepare to be amazed by canyons and unique sights. Taiwan is a geologically young island, and the mountains display magnificent rock formations.
-
Dali-Datong Trail: This place is rich with the history of Taiwan's indigenous people. You'll find a historical chapel, built by missionaries a long time ago.
-
National Dong Hwa University: I often enjoyed sunrise yoga and jogging here. The scenery is so beautiful and peaceful. The Lakeside area also offers gorgeous campus views.
-
Qixingtan Beach: Witness the first sunrise in Taiwan at this beach. The rocks here are smooth and beautiful due to the water's erosion.
I have a deep love for nature, and Hualien is the best place to be in Taiwan for immersing yourself in it. I hope you experience all its beauty. I wish you a great time there!
