Review Mù Cang Chải in September – A Land of Terraced Rice Fields
September, when the rice turns a brilliant gold across the mountains, transforms Mù Cang Chải into a breathtaking natural masterpiece. During a 2-day, 1-night trip, I had the chance to experience and fully appreciate the majestic beauty of the Northwest mountains, feeling humbled by the vastness of nature.
📍 The Large Mam Xoi Hill
This was the first destination that captivated me at first sight. The terraced rice fields, layered upon one another, create a tapestry of green and gold, winding gracefully. Standing in this space, alongside the vibrant ethnic costumes of the local people, I felt immersed in a living painting, a fusion of nature and humanity.
📍 Dinosaur Spine
The path to this place is quite challenging with precarious wooden bridges, winding roads, and particularly steep slopes. But in return, after overcoming everything, climbing another 200 meters, I could gaze out at the entire Northwest mountain range. The magnificent scenery made all the difficulties worthwhile.
🏡 Ecohome in La Pán Tẩn
What I remember most from the trip is the lovely homestay called Ecohome. The kind owner, always smiling, along with his two gentle and friendly wives. The most impressive thing was the meal here – simple but delicious, especially the "addictive" chicken hot pot, which truly made me miss it. The experience was memorable.
Two days in Mù Cang Chải gave me a precious moment to set aside the weariness of life. This place is not only beautiful like a wonderful painting, but also echoes like a heroic epic – by the sounds of the mountains, by the peace, and the majesty that only the Northwest possesses. This trip allowed me to experience an aspect of rural life.
