Tomahawk Steakhouse Experience in Saigon
For me, this spot serves up some of the best Tomahawk steaks in Saigon! They use Black Angus MB4 beef, dry-aged for 35 days and cooked in a Kamado Joe oven. The result? Pure deliciousness.
What's unique is they offer a medium-sized Tomahawk, around 700g - 800g. Most places start at 1.5kg, making the price skyrocket. My experience was with a 700g+ cut, costing 388k per 100g. The total Tomahawk was nearly 2.8 million, a pretty good deal compared to other places in Saigon.
The owner, who is also particular about quality (and runs an Australian beef import company and the Sol pho chain), ensures the food is top-notch. The restaurant has a boutique vibe, but the wine list is impressive, and the menu offers variety, from soups and cold cuts to salads, tapas, oysters, and caviar. My favorite main dish is the Wagyu don (298k), a Japanese-inspired beef rice bowl with unique twists that showcase the restaurant's style. Other excellent choices include Foie Gras (368k) with grape sauce, grilled cod (428k) with manchego cheese cream sauce and risotto, or the French-style Duck confit (358k).
Overall, it's a fantastic steakhouse, especially considering the Sunday deals. They often have a 50% discount on Tomahawk or 30% off other steaks. This is an enticing option for steak lovers, especially in the Phu My Hung area.
